Pathfinders Children's Ministry always needs dedicated Christ-followers who love children and have a servant's heart for ministry.
Pathfinders Children's Ministry is staffed by a volunteer army of Christ-followers committed to Him and his precious forgotten children. Only the Executive Director and part time Transportation Coordinator are paid. We cannot expand to reach more children and youth unless we have more van drivers, ride-alongs, teachers and helpers on Friday evenings.
"Volunteers don't get paid, not because they're worthless, but because they're priceless!"
Reaching at risk kids in our community means going to where they live. Van drivers are needed to pickup and transport them to weekly Pathfinders gatherings and return them home at the end of the evening. Do you have a valid Nevada Driver's license and a love for kids? We need you! Even if you can't drive every week substitute drivers are also needed.
Each van that brings kids to weekly Pathfinders gatherings requires two adults. Ride-Alongs assist van drivers in picking up kids from their communities and bringing them to Pathfinders weekly gatherings and special events.
Music greatly enhances our times of worship during weekly Pathfinders gatherings. Do you play an instrument? Join our team and share your gifts with our kids.
Each weekly gathering includes Bible study. If you have a passion for the Bible and a desire for kids to hear the life changing message of Jesus Christ we would love to hear from you.
Helpers assist and support the teachers who bring weekly Bible Studies to our Pathfinders kids.
Class workers build relationships with kids and teens in their class groups and assist with classroom management.
We need help setting up and taking down tables, chairs, supplies, etc before and after Pathfinders gatherings.
Each Pathfinders gathering includes a hot, balanced meal for the kids and leaders. Help is needed to cook and serve these meals. If you or your family, church, small group, or neighborhood group can provide a meal, please contact patty@pathfindersreno.org or 775-378-4001.
Our volunteers undergo a process to make sure that they have the resources they need and feel equipped to minister to kids in the Pathfinders program.
We recommend that you visit a few of our Friday evening sessions to observe different age groups to get a feel for our group.
To qualify for service we require a criminal background check (at our expense). Contact our volunteer coordinator for more information.
Pathfinders provides a 4 hour training class to equip you to minister to children in the Pathfinders program. Our volunteer coordinator can give you the date and time of our next class.
Do you have questions about volunteering? Are you ready to join our team?
We'd love to hear from you!
